Location

La Bastide d'Angouire is located in Provence, right at the entrance of the Verdon Gorges, the property forming the end of the Angouire Canyon.

It is 2km from Moustiers St. Marie, a village perched on a mountain-side, famed for its winding streets, eagle's nest church and waterfall falling spectacularly through the heart of the village. Moustiers is a special place and was voted one of the 20 most beautiful villages in France.  it is home to many restaurants and cafes, including Alain Ducasse's Michelin-star restaurant, la Bastide de Moustiers.

Thanks to strict zoning restrictions, this region is one of the most naturally preserved in Provence.

The Verdon Regional Park borders the property, and the beautiful emerald waters of St. Croix lake are 5 minutes away.

There are numerous activities provided by the pristine countryside, the gorges and the lake, such as biking and walking trails along the gorges, the lake or the lavender fields on the plateau de Valensole, as well as winsurfing, SUP or hobbie cat on the 11 km long warm water lake

In addition to Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, nearby towns, 15-20 minutes away, include Riez and Aups, both of which have fabulous street markets.

Train stations are one and half hours away, in Aix-en-Provence, Marseilles, Avignon (with its festival), LeMuy or Saint Raphael.

Airports are less than 2 hours away, from Nice, Marseilles, Toulon and Nimes (with flights by Easyjet and Ryanair).

By car, the Mediterranean coast is one and half hours away, such as at Saint Tropez or Cannes.
